The Hooch Way
Faculty Successful HOOCH staff show up regularly for work. They are on time. They are prepared to teach bell to bell. They jump in when others are unexpectedly absent and they make sure they work positively to see that student instruction is not impacted by teacher absence. When absent they follow the procedures and timelines for getting absences approved ahead of time. Successful HOOCH staff take advantage of extra opportunities to help students. They show a willingness to arrive early and be available to give critical and constructive feedback so that students can apply it to their work and habits for improvement. Successful HOOCH staff care about their campus and school grounds and go out of their way to be responsible for their own trash/mess. They pitch in when cleaning staff are over worked and stretched thin. They do this because they have PRIDE in their school. They do this because this school is not just a place they work….it is their home away from home and these people are our “family”. Successful HOOCH staff care about each other. No staff member is left out. No one eats alone unwillingly or cannot name a meaningful friendship while here. Staff members reach out to others who are not like them. Hooch staff are accepting of all individuals and go out of their way to live a work life showing respect, acceptance and compassion for everyone on campus. Successful HOOCH staff show respect to students, parents and colleagues on campus, even when in conflict. They accept personal responsibility for themselves and their actions and learn something about themselves from each interaction with colleagues. Successful HOOCH staff are our pride and joy and they not only work at the HOOCH they ARE what makes Chattahoochee High School great! |
